my 12th birthday party we played a computer game called "The
Hand of Fate." It was about a girl named Zanthia (big
stretch for me, right?) who mixed potions and cast spells,
and ended up saving her world. Inspired by her, I wrote my
own short story about another girl (me, really) who went on
her own fantastic adventure. She didn't save the world, but
she opened her eyes. So Calamyra was born, and there it sat
for the next 10 years. |
