of my longstanding and unexplanable obsessions had been with
trees, and this was my first attempt to create one by making
a volcano-like ceramic trunk which I then inserted real branches
into. It didn't quite work, but was an important step along
the way, and also the last piece i made in high school, which
I left there in their sculpture garden. |
